Visitor/Resident Map

Project 02

Here you will find some of the projects that we worked on in class. This includes my Visitor/Resident map, Personal Social Media Audit, as well as my Linkedin Page and Summary. These were projects that helped to show us where social media stands in our lives today. We also talked about how we market ourselves differently on different social platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Linkedin. 

Social Media Audit 

When Liam was looking for me online, he was able to find out my home address, home phone number, as well as the name for both of my parents. This was a little weird to think that all of this personal information was accessible online. Also, he could find my Facebook profile. My profile was private so there was not a lot of accessible information there.

    I think that when Liam was able to find my address online, it was not part of my intended strategy. Although it is not my address at school, random people would be able to find where my family lives. As for my social media profiles, I did not want them to be easily accessible to people who I do not know. When he googled my name, the only account that came up was my Facebook account, which is for the most part very private. I want the audience of my social media accounts to be a pretty close knit group of people who I know.

    My brand personality is based off of things that I enjoy in life. My family and friends are important, and I love to be creative. I think that my brand personality and my on social media personality are very similar when it comes to my instagram account. I post pictures of things that I enjoy, like my family, pets, activities I like doing, etc. My Facebook and Linkedin profiles are very moderate when it comes to my brand personality. The information that I put on these two outlets are very filter because I know that the audience is more of my family, and friends of my parents rather than my friend. My Linkedin is strictly professional. Although I do have a Twitter, I rarely use it, so I wouldn't consider it an accurate representation of my brand personality.

Summary

I am a senior at the University of Pittsburgh, excited to graduate and begin looking for jobs. With a major in Media and Professional Communications, I am interested in working in a Marketing or Digital Marketing atmosphere. I also have a certificate in Digital Media. I have experience working with events,and enjoy meeting new people. I am open to new experiences and am a quick learner. I love to be creative and work with my hands.
